Mikron has a lovely little team of people working away in the background. Now you can put a face to a name and find out a bit more about us.
Marianne joined the company as an actor in 2003. Since then she has worked for the company as an actor, administrator, director, youth worker and now as Artistic Director.
Marianne is responsible for show choices, commissioning writers, directors, designers and actors and monitoring and assessing the quality of our productions and is a qualified Royal Yacht Association Inland Waterways Helmsman.
Rachel has worked with Mikron since 2006 as Development Officer, and after starting her family, rejoined us as administrator in 2012.
Rachel has also worked as a performer, director and administrator for various commercial theatre companies. She brings these skills to the office alongside her ability to keep us organised and the office shipshape!
Taru has a hugely diverse background in the Arts. Over the past 25 years she has worked as an actor, director, facilitator, administrator and press officer to name but a few jobs.
Taru writes and distributes all our press releases and co-ordinates media interest in Mikron and our unique way of touring. She is also at the helm with our funding applications.
Jo joined the Mikron team in spring 2014. She splits her time between the rehearsal room and the office for the rest of the year.
Jo has been an actor since leaving college. Her main role at Mikron is to keep Marianne and Pete in line. She has a love of stationery and is VERY tidy!
Pete has been with Mikron since 2002 as an Actor, Office Manager, General Manager and in 2010 he became Mikron’s Producer with overall non-artistic responsibility for the day-to-day running of the company. Pete is a qualified Royal Yacht Association Inland Waterways Helmsman.
